Submission Guidelines & Legal Mumbo Jumbo

By submitting your idea, you grant Appy Hour and Robot Monkey Designs, LLC permission to use, develop, and feature your submission in our web series and related content. We won't be able to offer compensation beyond a possible shout-out in the episode. Additionally, we have a few guidelines as to what makes a good Appy Hour submission:

• Remember, we're looking for goofy, non-essential, single-purpose web apps! We're not making the next big social media platform or some complex enterprise solution here.
• If your app idea relies on an external service and/or API, it must be available to the public, for free. We cannot accept "gift" paid API keys.
• Appy Hour apps are primarily web apps, and should function entirely within a web browser. Please do not submit anything that is dependent on a specific platform or piece of hardware.
• While originality is what we're looking for, we're well aware that there's no truly original ideas under the sun. Just try to make sure that your idea isn't a clone of a super-popular, widely-used app.
• We cannot accept submissions that infringe on the rights of other people or entities. This includes copyrights and patents. Please don't get us sued.
• Please do not submit ideas that are discriminatory, offensive, promote hate speech, are illegal, or could be used maliciously. We reserve the right to discard any submission that violates these principles.
• Finished apps may be buggy, have visual oddities, may be plain unfinished, or may not be particularly useful.
• Only one idea per submission, please! If you've got multiple ideas, you're free to make multiple submissions.
